Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC)

Bruns is an approved independent general contractor trained in the installation of Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) products, an exceptional green alterative to traditional building materials:

  • Green Manufacturing – Created with natural raw materials, AAC leaves no by-products.  AAC is recyclable, inert, non-toxic, and does not produce indoor air pollution.

  • Fire-Resistant – No concern for toxic gases/vapors in the event of a fire.

  • Energy Efficient – Energy Star rated product.

  • Pest-Resistant – Inorganic material requires no need for chemical treatments.

AAC is a cost-effective alternative to traditional building materials such as CMU, fire block, tilt wall, and pre-cast concrete partitions. Applications include:

  • Load and non-load bearing walls (exterior & interior)

  • Exterior non-load bearing relief and ornamentations panels

  • Fire walls

  • Demising walls

  • Acoustical/Sound insulation

  • Mezzanine decking

  • EIFS alternative

  • Elevator shafts

  • Floor and roof panels
